I've recently just arrived from a girl's holiday abroad and I found that this is Chanel bronzer has been a staple and should be for any girls' holiday or daily make-up bag, it's a God send in disguise. It's a little high end but I know this product has been around for a while and I have heard everyone rant and rave about this product, so I had no reason not to give it a try. Applying it to the high points of the face; tops of cheekbones, temples, softly over the bridge of the nose, chin and a slight sweep over the top of the brows.
With the creamy texture the mousse can be buffed into the skin, which will look very natural, it achieves defintion and radiance without too much effort involved. I wore this during the day and through the evening and it just seemed to enchance my tan day by day. I even used the product across my chest and cheek bones and it was just a dream to wear. The price is a little daunting but I have seen that there are alternatives that have come up recently, such as brands like Bourjois; with a new bronzing primer and BB Bronzing Cream which is a little more high street affordable. But still, without a shadow of a doubt I couldn't recommend anything better, it is what you would expect from such a well respected brand. Over a week ago, I worked as the make-up artist for a shoot with some pretty talented people. The shoot took place in Quakers Friars in Bristol, which was quite a different location but it worked so well as the look for the shoot was very vintage. It was a long day but was so much fun, due to the great team I worked with! There were two hairdressers for the shoot one was Amie Scudamore and the other was Noel Halligan both from Seanhanna Bristol. On the same day the shoot took place, Noel was judged by a panel of judges on his hair skills and his work as a professional stylist and has worked his socks off to have recently become a L'Oreal ID Stylist and rightly so. The styling was absolutely adorable and all vintage by Hannah Rowe who runs the boutique Sweet Sorrow Vintage, she was lovely so please check out her blog and website (I'll link it below). Hattie Ellis was the one who was responsible for the photography, she was so relaxed but yet she captured beautiful pictures. I've got to say that the weather was on our side that day, no rain but it was just unbelievebly cold, so it was an achievement that we all kept warm! A big thank you to everyone and especially to the model, Stacie Langford. Products I used:

The Nars bronzer gives the perfect tone to define cheekbones and it's such a fine and light product, which means you can build it up to your hearts content, to either get a subtle contour or a bronze definition from temples to jawline. It has a hint of shimmer but not enough to show up on the skin, that's why it matches so well with MAC Pearl.
I use Pearl as a highlight, along the high points of my cheekbones, brow bone and just dashed along my cupids bow and lightly down my nose. It gives a real glow and dewy effect and looks amazing in photographs. The two work together and create a natural and effortless shaping to the face which can be worn on it's own with a bit of mascara or wear with a smokey eye to spice up for a evening look. These two products are the perfect go-to. Charlotte. X It seemed like every blogger, every girl and everyone was raving about this new Benefit mascara, and now I can see why! I always expect good things from Benefit, all the products i've bought have always been worth the price and this one was the one product I've been tempted to buy for a while and this mascara has been voted the UK's top selling mascara so I just had to get it to test out on my tiny stubby lashes. The one I bought is only a small size version of it, which was either £9 or £9.50 from Boots. It promises to lengthen and give the lash volume and lift - and it really does! The brush is a lot different than usual mascara brushes, it has a lot of spikes to coat and separate every lash. It even has a ball of bristles at the end of the brush, which honestly looks like a medevil torture tool, that helps you reach all the outer corners and gets those tricky areas perfectly covered.
It has a blacker than black pigments, so it gives you that real glossy and husky looking eye. I've worn this mascara with a smokey eye and it really does do wonders, even people notice than you've changed mascaras! The downside is that it is a bit of a pain to remove, you really have to give your eyes a good cleanse with a cream cleanser, I use ivea Cleanser and Toner and it's off with a few rubs. to ensure you don't wake up with a pair of tired, panda eyes. The normal size of this mascara is a little pricey (£18.50)up to the average mascara but I can honestly say, I will be buying the bigger size once this sample has ran out. It's not a mircale worker but it does give a noticeable results and it's one product that is really worth buying. Have you tried They're Real Mascara? Charlotte X |
